well since i bought the car a year ago, my tank has been leaking when i fill up. after riding like this i decided to change it finally as prices are getting high and i may have been losing fuel pressure. heres how i did it.

*rented a lift on base.
*lifted the beast up
*used a tranny stand
*under the tank just enough to touch the tank.
*removed 3 fasteners in the fill up tank door.
*removed 4 small gasket fasteners between frame and trunk.
*disconnect retention bracket on the filler neck tubing.
*removed 2 bolts that hold the straps for the tank on the passenger side.
*removed the 1 bolt holding the driver side strap.
*lightly lowered the tank and wrangle the filler neck out.
*install new tank seal with light grease to ease the fitting on the tank hole.

reinstall everything as you took it out.

these pictures show why mine was leaking. too bad i didnt take more but i was trying to do this quickly.
