Totally a repair. Why not put a new accelerator cable in it? For 94-95's, 5spd: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsProduct.jsp?skuDescription=Pioneer+/+Accelerator+Cable&categoryDisplayName=Fuel+Delivery&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=27201_0_0_&productId=27201&sortType=&parentId=49-0&filterByKeyWord=ca8455&isSearchByPartNumber=true&navValue=14900450&categoryNValue=14999999&fromWhere=&itemId=450-0&displayName=Accelerator+Cable&store=99&searchText=ca8455&brandName=Pioneer Put one in my old Lightning and it was a night and day difference. Replace the cable, don't settle for the nylon repair which can break back down over time. BTW, i've done the "take up the slack" repair on my older stangs, and yes, it was nice difference, but it just doesn't compare to a fresh cable.
