I was remembering the 'free mods' that the mustangmods or whatever website is has and have been meaning to the the gas pedal mod. It takes the ridiculous 1 1/4 slack out of the accelerator and lets you actually achieve WOT instead of floorboard/floormat/carpet.
ANyway, its the business. It takes some getting used to but it makes heel/toe MUCH simpler and frankly possible in a mustang and its so cheap. I used 3 zipties(probably overkill) and a piece of fuel line tubing from the '48 chevy project. That is all

check your throttlebody plate and have someone floor the pedal, it should open up wide anyway. If not, it's not a mod, it's a repair.

its a mod. it takes the slack out of the pedal. if you have ever noticed that when you go to accelerate there is a moment of no resistance in the pedal? that's the slack he is talking about. with the mod in place... as soon as your foot touches the pedal the throttle opens. no delay. i've done it on mine. its schweet.

Yeah I'm with you it's a Repair not a Mod. As the cable gets older it stretches out and needs to be adjusted.

Totally a repair. Why not put a new accelerator cable in it? For 94-95's, 5spd: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsProduct.jsp?skuDescription=Pioneer+/+Accelerator+Cable&categoryDisplayName=Fuel+Delivery&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=27201_0_0_&productId=27201&sortType=&parentId=49-0&filterByKeyWord=ca8455&isSearchByPartNumber=true&navValue=14900450&categoryNValue=14999999&fromWhere=&itemId=450-0&displayName=Accelerator+Cable&store=99&searchText=ca8455&brandName=Pioneer

Put one in my old Lightning and it was a night and day difference. Replace the cable, don't settle for the nylon repair which can break back down over time. BTW, i've done the "take up the slack" repair on my older stangs, and yes, it was nice difference, but it just doesn't compare to a fresh cable.

DFG Magic, THIS IS NOT A REPAIR.

All ford mustangs come with 1/4 inch slack in the peddle so that the Gas pedal can be 1/4 inch below the brake pedal. All SN95 Mustangs come like this..... This mod just raised the Gas pedal up even with the pedal.

There is also a Mod to lower the clutch pedal so all 3 Pedals can be even..... Awesome Mods!!!

There is a link in the MW article I posted earlier but to tell you the truth it's not a very good one, I just used a nylon spacer, cut a slot in it with my dremel, put it over the cable then used one single clamp to "close" up the slot

Don't even need to tighten the clamp too much, it's just there to keep the spacer from falling off so dont tighten it until spacer is ready to break off
