gauge install

guys im going with the guages behind the steering wheel, and was wondering if anyone had any write ups on this like how to hook up were to hook up stuff like that..

anyone have this kinda info?

Are you talking about your cluster gauges or like these, Mustang 94-00 Instrument Cluster Bezel, Dual 2 1/16" Gauge. It is timing out on all of the better pics & info on their site.

Sorry I have no idea about either, just trying to help others understand what you meant.

my bad.. after market gauges like your water and oil pressure gauges.. im tryin to install..

umm mechanical... i was wondering how you ran them more or less in a clean way did you drill thru the fire wall and what

electrical source did you use?

I ran my through the existing grommet in the firewall.

For the three light bulbs, I joined all three positive wires into one, and connected it to the "passenger side" of fuse #13 (IIRC) in the dash. The negatives were joined similarly and tied to a common ground somewhere under the dash.

paul someone told me it is better to run em out side to the box under the hood... is this true and how did you connect it to # 13 fuse by a jumper? or how? im not good with electric side of cars just yet..

I'm not an expert either, but I'm pretty sure you can power three tiny lightbulbs with one wire jammed into the fusebox.

I literally wrapped the wire over the top of the side of the fuseblade, and stuck it in the fusebox. It works like a champ.

I ran all of my wires and vac tube through the existing hole in the firewall, the same as paul has mentioned. For my light source I tied into the cluster's wire for it's lights.
