Glad I have a Cage

I was testing the car for the new "True Street" that is going on at my track... 15 mile cruise and 3 back to back passes without opening the hood... So I was hot lapping the car... Playing with timing a bit and hot lapping the car... I made 4 passes in about an hour(the last hour). this was my last pass. Really makes me realize how lucky I was. Had any of the fluid gotten on one of my tires I would have been testing out my cage. Turns out the NHRA approved rubber line i used for transmission lines, burst around the 330' mark... I didnt realize it til about the 1000 foot mark where I let out of it and shut it down. Could have been really really bad...

Had to power wash the car off after wards... This is how I did it LOL.

Anyway... the car did well... didnt over heat, didnt have any issues going back to back to back passes... so im proud of it there... Now i just got to get some AN fittings in the car and line for the tranny and Ill be set for a great season hopefully.

Hate ya had to let it loose at Bandi man... one of my fave tracks. Glad I wasn't there in the lanes to see it, but at least the car, and more importantly, you are safe and back home.

It was running low 12.50s yesterday @ 109... not too bad for altitude. I need to play with the jets some... hoping low 12s maybe... 3135 with me in it now.

It used to launch harder on the 26s.... But I also changed the front suspension geometry... The car 60 foots much more consistantly, just not quite as quck as it has...

Yep still got the trailer... its the ones in the pictures, and i took it since I needed tools yesterday incase and since i was tuning it a bit.

Bandimere does a great job cleaning the track, but it still always sucks being the first few cars down the track after an oil down...

Made me think of how quickly something could have happened last season... I am really glad... I will never get in another car sub 12s without a roll bar in it atleast, but cage is what is really needed. I really could have been messed up... 105 in the wall would not be fun, infact without the cage I would be in the hospital still had I hit the wall... Mustangs are not meant to hit the wall at that speed.

Really opened my eyes... I always joked that I would die in this car and it would be the death of me.... and Honestly I can see it being true now...

Glad nothing happened to ya

Can I make a suggestion on your trans temp sensor? plug that hole on the bottom and tap it in the side, If you ever do a big wheel stand and slam down you gonna have a big mess again.

Agreed... I have wanted to do that for a long time, but never wanted to drain the fluid out and do it... now that is has none in it, ill be pulling off the pan and tapping the side of it.
