Had another CEL for PO300 (random multiple cylinder misfire). I replaced the coil packs about a month ago so I think we can rule them out

I'm thinking wires, at a minimum I could route them better...

Here's the kicker though- I got the code checked Saturday night at Advance, and disconnected/removed the battery when I was doing my headlight relay yesterday. The CEL disappeared (ADvance n00b didn't turn it off). I didn't think OBDII cars could do that.

i recomend you go get a real diagnosis at a good diganostics shop. before you end up spending money on stuff you dont need.

i got a trouble code a while back, went to advance they told me it was my oxygen sensors, went to a diagnostics shop found out the problem was a bored out maf housing i had installed, it was throwing off the airflow reading on the maf meter.

i got another code on my GT recently, went to advanced again, they said it was some sort of a leak, maybe a bad hose. wrong again, i took it back to the same diagnostics shop, found out it was my purge flow sensor. bought it at a local ford dealer, installed it myself and the check engine light turned off.

save yourself the headaches pony up a bit of cash on a good diagnostics shop and theyll tell you exactly whats wrong.

man i used to work at advance, and they hire some dumbasses, and those scanners they use are very generic, so a p-code you get doesnt mean to much of anything. war horse is correct, find a real technican and have them tell you what is really wrong before you blow &150 for a set of wires and find out your air filter is clogged.
