Ok, So I have this Lincoln Mark VIII engine and transmission just sitting on a roller under a tarp outside the garage... What should I do with this motor????

I was thinking I could buy a notch or hatchback fox, and just drop it in. Well, I'm not even sure if this motor would fit. If I could do this I would like to know.

Or what other possibilities do I have with this motor... I'm all fine and dandy for ripping it apart and building it... I just hate it laying around all the time. I bought it to put in a V6 mustang I have, but I decided I was just going to sell the V6 mustang... Any opinions would be welcome.

That's not for the faint of heart. Modular 4v motors are ridiculous.

hmmm, your right Paul... I'm not sure I could stomach paying $1200 hundred dollars just for a set of cams. I just don't know what to do with this motor. It annoys me everytime I see it... Even if I just paid $500 dollars for a fox, it may cost thousands just to get the motor in properly... uhg.

Wouldn't this swap be fairly easy say... If I had an automatic 1996 up modular gt mustang???

the swap would be very simple in a 96+ GT, would be slightly difficult in a 96+ V6, would be somwhat troublesome into a 94-95, and would be very labor intesive into a fox. there are like no longtube headers that just bolt-on, you pretty much have to transfer the body harness from a 96+ to make everything work, or spend $800+ on a wiring harness. the steering rack has caused some people issues, and the brakes are a pain in the ass. then you have to mess with a tranny mount... now if you wanted to do a 4V swap into a fox to turn it into a track car, that wouldn't be as bad.manual brakes and steering would make the swap much easier.

RESTOMOD! But that would cost you a ton more than putting it in a Fox body. The easiest would be to swap it into a 96+sixer car.

Why not sell it and use that money to start on a project fox car...? I bought my 89 coupe no engine/trans for $300, they
can be found for a decent price.

Yes, selling the motor probably wouldn't be a bad idea. I could use the money to buy a fox, or some parts I might need.

It will fit but its not the H.O. motor and will take some prep... I'd sell it and recoupe what you really want to put the money towards
