purchased some 94 tailights to replace the old and cracked ones that are currently on my car. The tails were already black like i wanted and were said to be in good condition. When they got here i found they were far from it. They will both have to be repainted and the lenses on both are extremely foggy. You guys have any idea what i could use to restore the lenses back to what they used to be so i can use these on my car?

ive had good luck on ebay. i did get some tailights one time and one was broken. its was supposedly fine when they sent them. o well live n learn
i bought the tails before the auction ended. This is a private seller and i just sent him the money through paypal to his email adress stupid of me i know but i have quized him on the tails before i bought them and he said they were in good shape. I guess this is what i get for trusting people. Can you do a chargeback through paypal?

i have had a few bad expiriences.
1. bought a flywheel that i never received. payed through paypal and got my money back in about a month.
2. Bought a used billet distributor for $140 that turned out to be fried. payed with a money order, never got my money back, cost $60 to fix the dizzy. i was pissed.
3. someone left me negative feedback for a modefied throttle body, even though there where pictures and a description explaining everything, and he got it hella cheap.
craigslist is FTW, but sometimes you cant find what you need on craigslist.

That sucks man, definitely try to work it out with him or go through paypal and or ebay about him being dishonest and see if they can help you out. Shit like that definitely sucks.
i sent the guy some emails and he was really nice about the whole deal. If they had of been good tailights like he said then i would have kept them but there was nothing in the description about them being faded this badly of needing to be repainted and i think he realizes this so needless to say they are going back just as soon as i can get them wrapped back up for a full refund.
i only shop with buyers that friends have already bought from or credible online stores ie. summit racing equipment.

I just keep all my records until the 30 day period is up. I only ship UPS Ground and deal with verified Paypal buyers and positive feedback people, or I have them call in the order directly through the shop.
If you're a seller and you have pictures of it before you sent it and you send it UPS Ground insured (an extra few cents) and you have the tracking number to prove it was delivered, there is little they can do to try and get the product for free.

hey man IDK what to tell you as far as painting goes, but get yourself some good quality chrome polish, like mothers or dura-guard and get a nice cloth. Use that shit on your tailights and it will take the fog right out of them, you kinda have to work at it but it works trust me. I had the same issue with ONE tailight that i got off ebay cause i backed into a bush on accident and craked the lens. My tailights look brand new now with the polishing on the lenses. Good luck man
