Well everyone, I sold the '96 GT I rebuilt after a friend of mine's wife backed it into a house. I was able to sell it for way more than I had into it. So I purchased another SN95 this time a black on black '96 Cobra. Minus turn downs, chrome 03 cobra wheels and a recent clutch the car is all stock. As I sit here at the hotel, my neighbor is being an awesome guy and bringing boxes into my house for me. So far I've ordered these parts
HAL QA/1 tubular K-member
MM caster camber plates
intrax springs
03 cobra front lower control arms
MM full length sub-frame connectors
Hotchkis sway bars front and rear
solid motor mounts
new stock clutch cable
fire wall adjuster
new quadrant
upper and lower control arms
spherical bearings for the differential
chrome 10.5 03 cobra's
315 35 17's for the rear
275 40 17's for the front

I'll need to order new shocks for it as they've never been done. This is very similar to what I had done to the GT and I loved the way it drove and handled. I'll post some pics as soon as I get home from my business trip. Hopefully I'll be able to start swapping these parts out next weekend. I'll snap some photos along the way as I complete the work. Just thought I'd share my good news with everyone. Thanks for listening.

Thanks for the compliments, I purchased the GT for 1500 a few years ago. Minus the paint I did all the work myself including welding a new quarter panel on and was able to save a fortune. I sold it for almost 6k and was able to pick up the cobra for right at 3k from a friend of mine. He has got the exact same car, his wife hadn't driven hers in few years I made an offer and got the car. Right place right time I guess. It needs a bath and some minor maintenance, but other than that it runs and drives great.

I'll post some pics when I get done at the shop tomorrow. As of now, there are a bunch of boxes in my garage along with the car. I'll be running all parts to the shop later this evening for a very long day tomorrow. The car has 142k on it already. And the picture in my Avatar was taken at Road Atlanta at The Year One Event last year. Trying to get the Cobra done for this years event. Here are some pics to last years event.

So I've got all the parts installed this weekend. Haven't gotten an alignment yet, but the front lower control arms are going to make the front wheels stick way out past the fenders. I had this problem on my white GT but ended up going with an 8" wide wheel in the front instead of the 9" wheels I bought. I'm debating about going with a coil over kit. Are the control arms shorter than factory? Should I use the Fox-body lowers? What pound springs would I need to go with? I'm mainly going to be using this car for autocross and road driving. It will have very little drag strip time.

Last question. I've got pictures on my camera from the installation. What external image hosting is recommended here if any?

Thanks for the help

Did you have a good time replacing the front control arms?
Just did mine and it was a PAIN IN THE ASS!
I mean, theoretically it's easy.
But I had 1 seized c.a. bolt on each side of the car/ it was the bolt more towards the front of the car/
The bolt seized itself to the bushing sleeve. I'll tell you right now, a swazall won't cut through the bolt either. That shlt is hardenend steel. Had to use a cutoff wheel, and even that took a few minutes.

They weren't too bad of a problem. I was able to do all the work at the shop I manage on the weekend, so it made everything a hell of a lot easier. Which control arms did you go with? I ended up taking off the 03 cobra lowers and went with a set of tubular fox body lowers and a coil over kit in the front. Suspension wise I'm done with the car. Now comes the fun part of adding the power.
