The heads need valves no point in spending the same for stock valves when I can oversize. Also I was under the impression you need the guides with roller rockers.

Good point. I really would like to see adders perspective on my idea there. What caused the eddys to take out your motor?

I am not sure if it was the heads or the dumbasses that installed them. First they had the wrong pushrod length. Then the cross-threaded a bolt into the head. I am not a motor person to be able to tell you it was teh eddy's fault of the shop that did it which ironically only works on mustangs a a few other fast fords. But the heads were the latest edition and of course buying them used with the usual 5k miles on the(rrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggggght).

well I was not happy. You would think when you take the car to a shopcalled the mustang shop would know how to measure pushrods but....

it was pretty disappointing. The owner/mechainic was trying to tell me that its some sort of magical thing to measure the pushrod length, or even just call the manf and ask what size they recomend like I did but still sure to measure anyway. Throw in the fact that they had the car for 3 months to do this and yea, not gonig back there anymore. In the end I just threw a stock longblock back in it and sole the heads back to the shop for what I had in them. I am not sure if the owner knew that one fo the mounting holes was cross-threaded by his tech or not but he bought them anyway.

Warranty on the block just ran out this year so I had new trickflow heads an a cam installed by a guy in my club that is a mechanic with an 800 hp fox street/drag racer.

Nice. lol he shouldnt be the one trying educate you on push rod length. what did you put down with the trickflows? the more i look at my situation the more i realize im a broke ass. im thinking i may port the gt40p's gasket match the explorer intake get 24lbers and put it back together. Then i can buy a chip from adder with a cobra tune on it and start saving for a blower. its my only set of wheels and i really dont want to loose the whole motor because it takes to long for me to get money together. then i can add on top with a bigger maf and tb and a better set of headers. then i can piece together cam intake and blower.

I have a single bank chip that I am not using if his falls through. It was dyno tuned for 24 lb injectors and worked fine till we put the new on it.

idunno I thin it was a little over a $140 or something, would $70 shipped be too much? IT a single bank SCT chip that I replaced with a 3 bank chip hoping I coudl get away with a mail-order tune but that didnt' end up savig me much as I was back on the dyno with this chip too. The tune on it is for 24 lb injectors with a cobra intake, a bigger maf and tb. Hell I still have the MAF and the cold air intake form it if you need that too but there is a pretty good chance it could work with your car, the cam would be the only real difference.

Also interestingly enough when I pulled the new one out and compaired it to the old one, there were identical. The only difference was that the 3 bank has a switch that plugs into the chip. The single bank has a spot to plug that in so you can probably even upgrade to a 3 bank later with a switch.

its a professional products 75 mm case that my tuner modified by taking the electronics/gut out of the stock on and puttin it in the pro-products housing. So is a stock maf that has a bigger case to feed more air. I painted it and its will need a fresh coat but hell I could do that before shipping it, I have the paint.

What would you want for that and you mentioned an intake to match like a jlt or a power pipe?

how about the maf, cai, and the chip shipped to you for $150? The cai has teh flange that keept the hot air in teh engine compartment. The spectre filter I bought seperatly is MUCH bigger then the one that came with it. Its big enough that you need ot put the pipe in the fender and then put the filter on inside the fender. I have the old fitler i fyou wan ti no big eeal ot me.

That doesn't sound to bad. Is it cai that moves the maf into the fender or is it just like the Mac and bbk units?
