gt500 brake kits?

i just seen this kit and im debating which one to go with. I know that the 13" cobra kit will clean my rims but i dont know if the gt500 will work, sounds they need a 18" rim but it doesnot say. by the way i have 17" Cobra rims

i think you still need to but calipers, rotors and some other stuff. i think.

If you do a lot of track, then 14" are the best but for a street car 13" cobra should be fine.

im going to do some track probably once a month(in the summer time) in ohoma but that is all

Cobra's are fine dude.

They'll put you through the windshield without a problem lol.

Get Cobra brakes, then you would only have the cost of the brakes, and pads(if not loaded calipers). If you spring for the 14" GT500
setup, then you will have the cost of brakes, and have to buy 18" wheels to clear them. I have had my 13" cobra brakes on for
over a year now, and it is one of the best investments i have ever made on my car.

or you could buy my pbr setup, less than 400 miles on new rotors, pads and calipers with 36k miles.... :tongue3:

are cars would stop on a dime with the 14 inch kit, i think thats the next mod im going to do is the 13 inch cobra upgrade, all you guys that have done it have nothing but good things to say about them

IMO the 14" brakes are for track cars,well some of the SALEENs (I think 99-04) came with 14" from factory.

i figure i would go wiht the cobra because the gt500 is pretty spendy

Even then, they're more for show. My racecar runs standard Cobra brakes with Brembo blanks and repeatedly stops from 150+ mph with no issues. Good pads, good fluid, and brake ducting go a long way.
