Hey everybody, I just saw on google videos page that there's a new Knight Rider show coming in February and instead of a Trash Am, this one's gonna have the King of the Road! That's right, NBC is bringing Kitt back as a GT500KR (get it? KR = Knight Rider or King of the Road... pretty clever, those guys). What you think, better with Hasselhoff or without?

sorry I didn't attach the teaser video, I'm an idiot and don't know how to do that (I don't even have an avitar, yet. DOH!). Like I said it's on google videos.

Kitt just should'nt be a Mustang, but thats just me it should be a T\A, but i think its time the Hoff gave up the drivers seat though. ;)

The trailer looks great. I'm glad they're using a Mustang. I'll watch it just for the car.

If Chevy paid out, they so would. Ford paid big bucks for it, to be sure, but NBC doesn't give a crap as long as that check cash's, and besides, they don't make T/A's anyway.

they have the concept t/a they could use in it. they used the concept camaro in transformers :dunno:

it is true that as long as they will pay the money they don't really care what happens but i think if they do put it on with a mustang most of the knight rider enthusiasts will get pissed :)

RealityGT -that wasn't a "I heard it thru the grapevine" kinda thing, it looked like a for real teaser trailer. The little description said that it had run during Monday Night Football, or something.

The concept T/A pic that's going around was comissioned by Hot Rod magazine. It was just some slick computer drawing of what a T/A version of the new camaro would look like. I've not seen anything anywhere showing that Pontiac is going to make it. In that same article (from last summer) they also showed a Merc Cougar (based on the new mustang) and a 'Cuda based on the new Challenger... none of which will make it to the streets.

Pontiac want's to be like BMW, sporty luxury, they need to diferentiate themselves from BUick, or they'll get what Old's got. They have no plan's whatsoever to bring back the mullet machine and all the trailer park image that goes with it (even though i would like it, lol).

And how many remakes are a total crock? Bionic Woman?!? TV show's are merely disguised comercial's nowadays, even "reality" show's.

I always go see car movies and watch car shows. As a car guy I want to support Bollywood everytime they market to me. Most of the time it is total crap (the first two Fast/furious movies) but I think they're getting better (Tokyo drift was much better, and I think it set up for another movie w/ more muscle). The Dukes of Hazzard movie was fun and apparently there's another Smokey and the Bandit in the works. I'll go see it b/c I love car movies and I want them to make more.

BMW makes a couple of muscular coupes (M3, M6). I agree that a screaming chicken hood might "taint" the image they're after, but they're seriously considering another go at the GTO and I don't know that the GTO name is any "classier" than the T/A. Instead of rebadging a Camaro and calling it a firebird, they'll re-do a Holden. If the General is going to do a Holden, I wish they'd bring back the El Camino!
While I'm threadjacking my own thread, I think that European and/or Australian Ford has a ute too, anyone else want a Ranchero?
