GTO RACE

So I got a GTO wanting to race me, its a tuned LS1 with bolt ons. How fast are theses things? He's got a pretty big "bark" claiming to have walked away from a 96 gt with an s-trim on the hwy. I know the car and I know he doesn't have many mods, so i'm thinkin he may be mostly lyin. Yall know my mods, so what ya think?

Boat. their heavy. kick his ass and tell us about it. ls1s are very stout motors. but the ls1 gto is the slowest of the ls1 family.
how modded are we talkin anyways. b/c after i changed my pants reading your sig it looks like your in good condition for this one. :thumb:

Yeah my sig is right! lol Took me a few years/motors to get it but its all in play. He's got underdrives, cold air, exhaust, and a tune. He's never had a dyno, but hell I know they are very stout motors. He's always runnin his head bashin on the fords and braggin on the LS1's. I know i've beat the hell out of a camaro with the same mods as him, but I've never raced a "goat" b4. He's never had it on the track or anything, and I've seen him back down when a 350z was reving at him. lol Then he later told me smoked his ass...yeah right. (not saying he couldn't) But just wondering what yalls outake would be. Guess i'll go try 'em tonight and let yall know back. DEF gonna be at a stop and go. My cars set up like a drag car so lets see how he does off the line. I'll post tommorow so wish me luck. Oh yeah I'm outta nos so it'll be an all motor run.

There was this guy over the weekend on the interstate with a new GTO and it was all stock and he got up next to me *it was an auto* and he flew past me and I caught up and then was next to him and punched it and he didn't keep up... my car is almost stock.... wtf?!?!

while moving that doesn't make much of a difference... something was either wrong or he was just like lol ok whatever.

With 411 hp and less weight you might have him... so it is the 5.7 gto right? I've seen lightly modded ls1's put out over 400 but then he weighs like a couple hundred more than you.

i'm tellin you that i was on the interstate next to a 5.7L GTO and yes he was trying cuz he was going in and out of traffic with me and he wasn't pulling. i'm just tellin you. it was some younger black guy kinda gangster lookin and was stompin it.

First off--racing "in and out of traffic" is retarded. He wasn't racing you by any means as you have a low-mid 14 second car.

maybe it wasn't a gto just had gto badges or something but it wasn't fast....
