Being a previous GTS owner (totaled) I must say that I did enjoy it even thought it was stupid slow even with 3.73 but I did shed a tear when it was towed away yesterday. :crybaby2:
The things I didn't like about it were the cloth seats(freaking hate them) because I like to be comfy in my car and they didn't get the job done. Hell the fox cloth seats are leather compared to 95GTS cloth seats lol. I thought roll up windows weren't gonna be so bad but I freaking hate them especially when it rains all of a sudden. The car did have 182,000 miles on it and it ran like champ for the 32kmiles I owned it.
If being comfortable is a big thing for you like me then i'd go 97gt or just buy leather seats perferbaly Mach1 seats. Power will come later seein as how any car can be quick with cash but even if your car is slow you still have a nice car to cruise in. The 96 GT i'm buying tmrw is not the fastest thing but it damm sure looks and sounds good.
I"m assuming that the 900$ difference between the two is the seller's asking price on the 97GT? I'm sure you can talk him down a few hundred and still have some coin left over. If I was in your situation i'd get the 97Gt but that's based on what I look for in a mustang.
Hope this helps some.
