So i have the "new edge" mustang, and I was thinking about taking the dash from an older mustang with the clockpod thing, and putting a couple of gauges in it.

is this a direct fit?
and is this a feasible project.

always thought guages in the center looked cool, and im sure at least one of you has done it.

also, what year mustangs had these nifty pods?

thanks for all your help guys.
sorry im constantly trying to suck knowledge from you :dontknow:

What year is your car? What does your dash/center console setup look like now?

Step 1: Remove factory CD deck
Step 2: Purchase head unit with CD player
Step 3: Install gauges in now vacant slot
Step 4:
Step 5: Enjoy.

While we're on it....
How are you securing the gauges in the bezel? The backings that came with the gauges I bought with autometer won't work because all of the gauges are too close to each other, it won't fit around the individual gauge.

The plates that I have space the gauges far apart enough that they all fit with the stock plastic retainers behind them. The fit and finish is perfect. Check the thread link I posted, and there's another thread link in there that shows my install.

I have one in my car but if you dont have the hole already in your dash i dont think it would be worth the trouble.

Let me know if you want one. I have five left and then they're gone for good.

For Xmas, I'm getting a Steering Wheel Gauge Pod. I will stick an AutoMeter NV Fuel Level Gauge in it. That stock gauge drives me bonkers! I live in a town where they rip you off on gas prices!! I don't run it down that low. I want a better gauge of where I'm @ though. I messed up one day & forgot to get gas in my car. The next town was like 25 miles away. It was below E. When I filled up, still only held about 12.? gallons. It my be a stupid buy, that's me though!!
