Well, I have been busy with lots of crap and my car of course so haven't had time to screw around on the boards, but believe me it was well worth it. After hitting my goal of 12s N/A I wanted more, So I found a procharger kit cheap with a blown head unit. Fixed the head unit, got the rest of the parts, here is the process I endured (install happened beginning-mid June, finally got the WOT tune done last week).
First off, I needed to replace my clutch, 100000kms and over 50 clutch drops at 5-6k on slicks was not worth risking another expensive tow truck ride home. Replace my stock clutch (wasn't in that bad of shape though) with a CenterForce Dual Friction clutch similar to what I ran in my old 5.0L, love these clutches. Longtube fun, have to drop k-member to get tranny out, but I had to take off my pass. side header anyway to get my wideband sensor welded in. After dealing with a stubborn Pilot bearing, and figuring out my dowel pins and bolts DID NOT transfer over to the new flywheel, I finally had the clutch in after almost a week (only wanted to take 3 days max...)
After finally getting that crap finished, I had to swap in my Dual cobra fuel pump set-up. After lots of trial and error of getting my cobra fuel level sender to ground properly, I got that to work and broke out the fuel basket in the bottom of the tank to fit the new pumps. Ended up bashing my finger into the gas tank lip and cut a HUGE gash into my thumb, a scar to remember this project by lol.
After a long week delay, got the Blower and most of the intercooler stuff bolted on! ANOTHER issue though, apparently my car had underdrive pullies in which I wasn't aware, so the belt was touching at the water pump. $220 in new pulleys and a week delay in getting my new crank and water pump pulley, work finally resumed.
My tuner was also behind schedule and didn't get my tune until mid-late June to get the car fired up so I literally played the waiting game and finished up minor details like my gauges and what not then. Started it and it ran fine but the stupid cheap ass bracket Procharger sends for the idler pulley was stripped out so the pulley went cock-eyed so I had a machine shop CNC me a new one made of steel, HIGHLY recommend this be done to anyone thinking of doing this. Then, Finally all finished!
Drove the car around for a good month and a bit to get all issues worked out of it to make sure it wouldn't die on it's trip to the dyno and aside from a minor coolant leak I found the day I finished, car has been very solid! Got it tuned Last week and very happy with the numbers. Although they can be higher since my car is a fuel pig and maxed out my Cobra fuel pumps so I need a boost a pump eventually, car made 410rwhp and 383rwtq on only 6.3lbs of boost! Car is pullied for 8-9lbs but has longtubes which lose boost, Tuner said if I update fuel system, there is another 20-30rwhp I can easily pick up. All in all, I'm very happy with the car, runs great and pulls HARD. Won't get track times for a bit since I'm busy for the next month but aiming for low low 12s/high 11s.
