So on the 19th I am taking the car in to get the car retuned. The current tune felt slower than the first tune, and my tuner ended up changing the spark to smooth out the idle, and it was breaking up in the higher rpm range.
When the car was last tuned it had the following:
Bassani off road x pipe
Flowmaster American thunder exhaust
A crappy ebay intake (the flowmasters and the intake were on the car when I bought it)
3.73 gears (I know that this dosnt do anything for hp and tq, however some people might argue with me on this one)
OEM Plugs
OEM Coils
Base line run was 242 rwhp
Final tuning numbers: 256 rwhp
Since then I have done alot of changes, first off by getting rid of the old parts that were on the car when I bought it.
Current setup:
Bassani off road x pipe
Borla Stingers
JLT fender mount CAI (including relocating the mass air, one of the main reasons why I am having it retuned)
Accufab 75mm TB
Accufab 75mm Plenum
Ford Racing Billitt Steel Flywheel (less rotating mass from stock)
Exedy Stage 2 clutch
3.73 gears
New Coils and Plugs
(there is more, however suspension and a short throw wont have any change on the numbers)
So my thought on this is the following: By getting rid of the more restrictive Flowmasters in favor of the Borla, the new plenum and tb combo, and going with the much larger CAI, I should of gained something.....I am not expecting much, just someplace in the 260 range. For torque, your guess is as good as mine.
Guesses welcome.....The winner gets a gold star lol.
