hha. i've met a couple ss cobalt guys like that. only i didn't taunt back or yalk shit. because my sn95 is still stock. :rant:

i raced a friend of mine who has one just for fun. so ricer BS or anything. he has a spec clutch (idk what 'stage' it is) smaller pully and some weight reduction. it isn't very fast, but niether is my stang. he won by about 1.5 car lengths. :drunk:

Don't feel like reading all the responses so, my 2 cents. 1. I don't like cobalts, my friend has one and EVERY time I drive in it I nearly puke. It just rides weird. 2. they really aren't that fast, they are always at the strip running high 14's and 15's. 3. they don't look that great either imo.

i personally have never driven an ss, but i have driven regular base models, and judging from that, i doubt i would be too impressed.
even though my car is 12 years old, it may have some creaks and make some weird noises from time to time, but i love it, and being able to smoke half the cars around here, run a low 13 second pass, and still have most the creature comforts that most cars now a days do, is what i love about it, and would never turn to the dark side and trade it in for some ugly slow ricer.

i kinda like the cobalts actually, my buddies wife has a stock one with some form of exhaust modification and goes 14.6 @98-99 pretty consistently, they arent bad, can get 300+rwhp outta the factory warranty (just came out with the stage 3 kit) just cant get out the hole at all... anyways, good kill, sounds like some fun, but it really is sad that people like this exist everywhere and dont understand that they are wrong...

WOW Funny shit. I just went to Autozone to get a backup belt for the track tonight. One of them CobaltSS's was in the parkin lot. Guys were sitin out front cause there were no customers so they heard me pull up. Guy says hey you got a s/cer on there. LOL well it aint a vacuum leak. He says you dont wanna mess with that SS its makin 800hp. I said Whoa I wouldnt think of it. LOL.

If they only knew how much $$$$ It would take to make a 4cyl make 800HP...... my buddy Tom has a turbo 4banger Honda and it's putting out about 550+ and he's got almost $55K in this damn thing!!!
