So im hoping someone can maybe tell me if im totally wrong about something. I have a 95 gt that the previous owner installed a painless engine harness. I check out the receipt and looked up the installation instructions and it sounds like it basically turns the 95 setup into a foxbody setup using a distributor with the TFI on it and moving a wire around for the TPS. So here is where I need a second opinion. I really want to run a megasquirt. I come from the world of LS swaps and using Holley terminator but id rather just use whats there since its all brand new. Should I order a foxbody megasquirt kit? Or is there something else im missing? I've debated calling and talking to a tech but figured id start here.

so 95 uses TFI
the fox body also uses TFI on the distributer
only difference is the air density mass air flow that the fox body uses and the 95 dose not
its set up almost the same but the sensers would change on the connection from what i have seen
it would be like taking all sensers from a fox engine and installing to a 95 engine
plug and play

if you have the harness painless
then you would still need to convert all sensers and then use the mega squirt as a stand-alone computer

My personal opinion is to stick with Holley. I went with the PIMPXS originally and fought it for 3 years. I switched to Holley and what a difference. I'm sold. There is way more support for Holley products and you can most likely find someone close by that can tune it. That can rarely be said for Megasquirt products.
The 94-95 cars rely on a CCRM to power up the A/C, ECU, fuel pump, low speed and high speed cooling fans. Is it bypassed on your car as the Fox bodies didn't utilize one?

So you're team fox kit then?

It is still using the ccrm. The only modifications the painless kit does is use a fox distributor and swap a pin at the tps.

Hrmmmmm ok I was under the assumption the only difference between the 94/95 cars and say a 93 was where the ignition module was essentially i didnt realize the other sensors were different.
