Has anyone used Dynamat in their car when upgrading the stereo? Is this used in the doors as well as the floor? Does it make any difference at all besides adding weight to the car?

In my converible there is some wind noise even with the top up - more than in a coupe. Has anyone with a vert used this stuff?

I have it in every place from on the floor behind the pedals to the rear of the trunk, doors included. I have a coupe though. I don't know if its even worth it in a vert to be honest. I wouldn't do it if I were you, it just seems like a waste without a soild roof.

Did it decrease road noise for you? How about a difference in drone from the exhaust?

Drones still there of course but it's a little more muffled. Do the trunk and under the back seat you'll notice a difference, mostly in road noise. If you want to get rid of the drone then change your mufflers or do the exhaust mod. (weld in a length of pipe onto your cat back just after the axle hump.)

It helped reduce all road and exhaust noise in my car. It also helped keep the subwoofer noise inside my car so it didn't rattle my license plate as much. I had a vert and the top was usually down anyway. But, when the top was up the stuff didn't make that much difference IMO.

My car came with random little pieces in teh trunk, and its crazy I can tell a difference from shutting my trunk and shutting my friends. I cant imagine the difference if it was actually coated instead of the radnom pieces.

I've been looking to dynamat the hell out of my car in hopes of killing some of the exhaust noise. I've been around a few cars w/ it and it really seems to work well.

I dont use it cause a lighter car is faster...lol

I guess if you dont care about being fast then its a good idea....but covering any decent amount of your car will add up in weight

I've used secondskinaudio.com Damplifier Pro. I think its a little cheaper than dynamat, but it is thicker. Their Damplifier is similar to dynamat. 1st post woohoo.
