I'm new here to this forum. I picked up a 1996 V6 with a knocking rod really cheap. Mechanically it seems sound, except for the motor, and is now my next project car. I Bought my son a 2000 V6 back when he was 16yo so I already know a good bit about the SN95. By the way, I'm 51yo and have been building cars since I was 15 so I'm a little old school.

I have a question about the seats. These don't have the seat belt rings on the top and they look different from what I am use to seeing. Here's a picture. Are these normal for the 95 V6? I don't want to buy new upholstery and find out I have weird seats.

Thanks for your help,
Ed

So no seat belt ring on the 94-98? Maybe the foam is just so badly worn out is why it looks funny to me.

That doesn't look like a stock mustang seat to begin with.

My stock seats came with the belt ring but then again they were the leather ones.

It's a stock seat - I'm 98% positive. Pulled a gray one out that looked just like that, think we still have it upstairs.
If the back seat matches, then I would have to say that's a definite yes.

The bad news? No one is making the V6 seats - only the GT from 94-04.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I wouldnt be worried about the ring. I'm pretty sure you can take the headrest off and remove the ring.

They look stock to me, but something does seem funky. Maybe worn out.
I'd just go find a 94-04 parts car with good interior and swap it
