I got my car back from the shop the other day (had a King Cobra clutch installed) and now my car is dieing when I start to come to a stop. I'm not sure waht it could be. The only way I can keep it running is if I give it gas while I slow down. I usually have to keep the rpms up a little when I'm stopped too. Nearly every time I slow down it dies (or trys to...). I need to get this fixed, its hard hitting all three pedals at once. :p

Is your EGR functioning properly? Mine went bad and i had the same issue, fine until i was slowing down and it would die. Turns out the EGR was bad and replaced it, no problems. Check for vacuum leaks as well

How can I check for EGR problems? I don't think its a vacuum leak unless it just started... which is possible. But yea, how do I check the EGR?

Problem appears to have been a lot of carbon buildup inside my throttle body. I cleaned it out earlier and it seems better, I haven't driven it much today, so we'll find out tommorow. Whenever I first got the car and cleaned everything up, I didn't hink to clean on the inside of the throttle body... gah.

Hey! if you have to use all 3 pedals to keep the car running CHECK the IAC valve on your throttle body. When this go bad car freaks out like this.

check and report man :)

Cleaning my throttle body definitly helped, but it still kinda wants to do it. I think I'm gonna get some more cleaner this weekend and go back in and clean some more... while I'm doing that, what do I need to be looking at for the IAC valve? And the EGR for that matter? My vacuum lines look fine, I didn't notice any leaks... but I suppose there could be some...

I know what they are, I just don't know how to find out if they're properly working.

I did a pretty through cleaning job on the IAC when I first got the car because it had a HORRIBLE surging idle problem and that fixed it right up, but now it just wants to die when I'm slowing down. I'll clean it again to be sure, but I'm really wondering about the EGR....
