Ok just got 94gt and all that's done is cai and b303 cam I was debating on what heads are the best bag for the buck between trick flow twisted wedge afr and eldbrock well the plan is I want 347 stoker but don't have the money for it now so I was wondering what I could throw on stock bottom end but still use on 347 in the future I was going to go with trick flow street series intake

Most cases AFRs will make more power out of the box, but Trick Flows have more potential if you decide to port them later on. Generally speaking of course, every engine and every combo is a little different.

Afr 185. Works on 302 better on 347

Edelbrocks are ok, if you go with the victor jr's.

True story. The AFR's come out of the box with a better valve train. Only trick you have to do to run the 185s with a stock piston is notch the reliefs.

I've had good luck with my AFR heads so far, i wish now I went with the AFR 185 heads but back when I did them I didn't want to deal with flycutting the pistons. really all the companies you listed make good heads, just depends what you want.

as for best bang for the buck though I would have to say trickflow to save some $$$. Great heads still and a little less power but still a hell of an upgrade. You should be happy with either one, once you forget what you pay for them.

I had AFR 185s on my stock bottom end and loved them. I say go with the 185s it wont take much to notch your pistons if you have to. And why not go with a bigger intake if your going to do a 347 later?

I've read a lot about people running trick flow twisted wedge and haven't heard anything bad about them.

Thats almost 3k, thats steep.. Im gonna get gt40 heads and the upper and lower intake off an explorer. Have the lower intake and eventually add a e303 cam. A lot cheaper than a top end kit, also not shooting for 300+ hp yet.
