Everyone, details of the problem I'm experience is in the title.
5K miles ago, cylinder #3 threw a spark plug. A local shop threaded, tapped/inserted a new thread. Didn't have to get new heads.
Now, car just started misfiring and my scan tool showed a P0303 cylinder #3 misfire (same cylinder where car threw a previous plug and I had repaired).
Today, I pulled the spark plug and the thread insert is attached to the sparkplug (see pics).
To fix, what are your thoughts? Do I get a M14 x 1.25 insert (helicoil 5334-14 save-a-thread-repair kit M14.x1.25)? The helicoil has got a small, medium, and large thread insert
I'm hoping that's what I need to do....put in a new insert into the existing threads in cylinder #3 or should I be doing something else?
Thanks.
