I have a 1994 3.8 L V6 and it had a leaky master cylinder and the booster had started to rust. I decided to replace both and was able to remove the old booster with some help by cutting the upper bolts. However, I am having a hard time putting in the new brake booster--one of the bolts seems to be getting hung up in the hole and it doesn't want to go in.

Any recommendations for how to get the new booster in?

This is for my daughter's car and she turns 16 in less than a week.

Thanks!

yea i am not sure how they drop them in at the factory. I had to make a little space on one of the bolt holes in order for me to get it back in.

So I was able to get it in--thank you Lord!! What I had to do was bend the bolts to guide them into the firewall slots. I used a pair of pliers to every so slightly bend the bolts so that from the angle I had to take it would help get past the inner opening. I would put it in and have some one hold it the way I had to put it, go inside and see how the bolts were aligning and pull back out and make adjustments. I eventually it went. Maybe this will help some else.

I would love to see the part of the video of them building the sn when they put it in. There was either some secret to do it easy that has never made it out or that was the worst job on the line...
