HELP! how to remove windshield wipers?

I thought it was a simple task but whilst at the junkyard pulling a new cowling(yay me!!) I fubared an arm. How do you remove the wiper arms without screwing stuff up?

Pop off the cover and should be a nut behind there to loosen.

how do you remove the windshield wiper arm themselves??

lift the wiper arm and there is a tab at the base you pull out, then pull the arm off. lol

yea ...lift arrm up.. if your standing on the driver side its the easiest.... the tab will be at the bottom of the arm (by the pivot point) and will be on the back side of the arm (facing the rear of the car)

Thanks guys!! I feel stupid, the one at the junk yard must have been shot because it didnt pull out and well yea. I should have a new cowling on tonight!! I am SO pumped. Its amazing what fixing little things like that will do

I dont drive my mustang in the rain so i have my wipers off all the time. Go to the hardware store and get some bumpers that go on the legs of a lawn chair. they fit perfectly and i think it looks better too.

Dont feel bad it took me about 30 minutes to get mine off, and I dont know if it was just me but 'pulling the tab' was a lot harder then it sounded, I needed some plyers.

lol, here in Nebraska i need my wipers. And yea i almost had to use pliers but not! I got my cowling in and its awesome!!
