Finally, after 3 years of waiting, I've finally dropped in my motor. Work is busy, and the car has been on the back burner for quite some time. Here's the setup:

Teksid Block (Approx 11.2:1 compression)
Block is bored 20 over, balanced, Cams Degreed, All new bearings.
Comp Cams (Custom, but close to 270's)
Oversized SS Valves
Ported/Polished Heads (Maybe "stage 2.5" heads?? )
ModCamponents Adj. Cam Gears
Eagle Rods
Fly-Cut JE Pistons
6-Bolt MKVIII Crank (from Teksid Block)
All ARP Fasteners
Accufab Plenum/70mm TB on stock intake
Team Breed Valve Covers
Canton Road Race Pan with Windage Tray
MMR Cryo Oil Pump
Ford Shorties
Bassani X w/cats
Flowmaster Catback
Aluminum Drive Shaft
Built 4r70w Auto with 3200 stall
Chrome Meziere Water Pump
Chrome Tuff Stuff 200a Altenator
Tubular K-Member
Koni Adj front shocks inside Coilover
Illumina Rears
Brembo 4-Piston Calipers/13+ Rotors
Upper/Lower Control Arms
Eibach Rear Springs
18x9 and 18x10 Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's
Michelin Pilot Sport 255 front, 295 rear
Carbon Fiber Working Heat Extractor 2000 Cobra R Hood w/2" Cowl
Custom Paint
Export Taillights
Custom Two-Tone Interior using 2006 GTO Full Power Heated Front Seats
255gph Fuel Pump
FFRP Plug Wires
Canton Overflow tank
Chrome Strut Tower Brace
Completely refurbished rear with all new parts
Detroit TruTrac 31 spline with Mosers and FFRP 4.10's, FFRP Girdle
24 lb injectors (just swapped from stock trying to troubleshoot no-start problem)
Lightning MAF (stock on right now until tune)
All new Sensors (CAM, CRANK, TEMP, O2, OIL, ETC)
All new Timing Components, including better steel trigger wheel

I just dropped in the motor on Friday, and could not get it to start. and still can't. Here's what I've checked:

- I have the right key
- Inertia switch working and has been tested
- Fuel Pump has power (actually was replaced today.. stocker was locked up from storage)
- Plenty of fuel pressure at the rails (Kirban set to 30psi at idle)
- New Plugs are installed
- Coil packs are working, and all cylinders are getting fire
- Tried with stock injectors, but did install 24lb injectors today to try to troubleshoot (tune will be required, but car should still idle with 24's, right?)
- Purged fuel rails after fuel pump install. Plenty of fuel in the rails
- Injectors are getting power
- Crank and cam sensors are new, and connected

Gauge Cluster is NOT in the car right now (sold on my son's previous Mustang), but tried his current 97 Mustang cluster to to make sure it wasn't required to start the car. His car started without it.

Front bumper is removed ATM, so no headlights are installed. All transmission connectors are installed, car is in Park. No DTC's present.

A few times the motor did *try* to start, but never did get into an idle state. Plugs are new, and halfway through my troubleshooting I did pull them out. A few seemed wet, a few seemed dry. I let them dry out and re-installed. No start.

Anyone have any ideas????? Please help. I am brain dead and cannot think anymore!!!

Do you have your intake bolted up, like the cai or whatever your going to use and its filter? you never mentioned it, but it won't start without an air filter in place. Was working on a 99 cobra, adjusting the timing once and pulled the K&N to clean it, car absolutely would not start without it in place. It needs the resistance for some reason. :dontknow:

No oil, nothing. All vacuum lines are connected.

also prime the pump and crack the fuel test line to see if its actually pumping.

Initially, I didn't hear the fuel pump prime when first moving the key to acc. Turned out the pump was bad, so I installed a Walbro 255. With the pump running now, opening the fuel rail is like watching "Old Faithful" at Yellowstone Park.

Yes, Twista. We actually turned the motor very easy with the plugs out using a breaker bar on the balancer bolt when bolting down the torque converter onto the flywheel. This problem is definitely not a timing or binding issue.

You could try swapping out the computer itself with the 97..... I had a 92 Jeep that the motor was shot and it sat for about 2 years before i did a swap and my father and i spent alot of time trying to figure out why it wouldnt run and found that some how from sitting the computer itself was shot....the computer was fine when the truck was last ran 2 years b4 the swap??....

Either way good luck!!
