HELP!!! Swapping SN95 cobra motor into SN95 GT

Hey guys i had a question about a swap im gonna be doing. Im buying a 95 5.0 cobra motor to go in place of the tired old sickly 5.0 GT motor thats in it. now what things should i know about making this engine work in the GT? will the computer be ok? will the fuel be enough or other things like that? thanks guys for the help!

Everything should be ok, if you have no tuner or a way to manage bigger injectors you can get away with the 19lb injectors from the old engine. If you want to use the Cobra computer and keep the 24lb injectors it is a bolt in deal if you are already manual, if you are AODE then just keep the stock computer and run the 19s until you are ready for a tuner.

Use your stock injectors and everything else will be fine. There is no difference in the engines physically. Just a slightly higher HP output, and some better spec components.

if you are a five speed, i think i've got a cobra computer laying around lol, but ya, i'd just run the 19s...

how much you getting the cobra motor for? what is the matter with your 5.0?

depending on the price you could get a much better heads/cam/intake combo for less than the cobra install. cobra motors are lame unless your getting it for a steal...

the swap should be pretty much cake, if you want to keep the cobra oil cooler you'll have to get a different coolant hose for the front but it's nothing major. Personally i ditched mine and went with the GT setup, GT uses a much larger oil filter too.
