Help wanted identifying this block.

Is this a rear wheel drive block, or front wheel drive? I heard it was a WAP block, but how do I find out what it came from?

It's a WAP, I can tell by the "diamond" pattern in the valley. They started using those in the cobras near the beginning of 2001.
