Help WIth Installing Short Tubes

? Hey guys id like some help on figuring out how hard it is to install short tubes into my 98 gt with the motor in the car has anyone have info or pics and ideas

i havent done any on these cars before but will probably be a PITA..from what i read on AM's install instructions for BBK LT's you got to lift the motor up to get access to the top of em..im sure there are trick to it..look around on other forums as well. good luck with your install! good lookin car btw...pretty jealous..im wantin a white car ..haha

Good luck doing it with motor in the car you gota drop the k member .... If you have it as high as you can on the jack stands you can drop the k member enough to do the job ,then use a engine hoist to put it back in place ... That how I did it when I didn't have a shop and was a back yard kid working on my cars.. I do this all the time dropping k member is easy

Lol try and do it the way the instructions say good luck your hands will be all cut up its too tight .

I was hoping i wouldn't have to drop the k member but it couldn't be that bad and that is a good idea i never thought to see if american muscle had the directions lol thanks guys

Well I'm seeing the point is to drop the k if i ever get a newer model stang i hope they change up the layout in the engine bay for better access to main components us guys change but thanks guys i appreciate it

Bbk's instruction are highly inaccurate.

Very true, however ive heard of shorties being doable without k member movement. long tubes are a different story though!
