That's your average acceleration over the entire 1/4 mile if it were actually constant which it is not. Finding the acceleration right off the line would seem a lot more impressive as well. Apparently the iPhone has an internal accelerometer that is actually pretty good, all you need is the software which is like $10. I want to pull a lateral G in the corners eventually. :headbang:

so... my older brother is becoming a mechanical engineer.

He did some work with my car and he was asking me a few questions today.
I told him my 1/4 mile time.

my 1/4:

15.550 Secs. at 87.90 MPH.

we rounded to 15.5 at 88 MPH

he did some math and my cars "Acceleration" is.... (i told him his calculator couldnt figure it out... it would just print out a smiley face... lol)

accelerate 2.53m per sec. ^ 2 (^2 means squared for you non-math-gear-heads lol) = 1/4 G
