Crossed a lot of things on the list today!

I Started by taking out the t5 outside to drain it and changed the rear seal.

5 second later i tilted the t5 to drain more fluid and of course the 3/8 square socket fell into the pan ! Haha

After that i bolted back the t5 in the car and man i said a lot of bad word trying to put it in!. After 3 try i finally asked my girlfriend to come in the garage to press the clutch pedal when i'm putting the transmission in. Got it like that! Since the shifter is removed i'm going to fill it back up from there.

I also need to spread apart the h pipe a little bit since the bbk headers does not have the same center to center distance.

I present you the h pipe spreader 2000.

I heated the 2 downpipe with a torch and cranked the jack, and it worked great!

1st try in the car

THe h pipe needed to be spread apart almost 1 inch. Pretty happy with the result.

Next step was to install the driveshaft and the h pipe. Those steps were pretty much straight foward.

And since i removed the stock smog pump i need a new shorter belt. I tied a string and make my way around all the pulley and relieved some tension on the tensioner. And my measurment is like 88.25 ~ 88.50 inch, which is weird because online all the diagram for the 94-95 say to use a 90.5 inch belt.

The black mark on the string is what i got when i relieved the tensioner. I might have to check a second time before ordering a belt. The string is not strechable at all its pretty stiff. Maybe that one of my other pulley in not oem who know.

I went looking for a drivebelt today

I finally decided to pick up a 90.125 and 90.625 belt from ac delco.

The 90.125 was pretty hard to get on and my tensioner was at the minimum

I had to spin the engine by hand to get it on the last pulley! I think its maybe too tight. But the 90.625 belt bring the tensioner already past half its range.

Ill check tonight for other belt brand that maybe have the correct size. Maybe 90.25

Does anyone know if a foxbody h pipe can fit in a 95? I know that the hanger are not the same but i can play around with that. But i would have a chance to buy a bbk h pipe from a foxbody for really cheap locally.

I couldnt see why the foxbody 5.0l piping would not bolt up to an sn95 5.0l given the header exit mounts are the same. Just like what you are thinking, the hangers would be in a different location and also keep in mind the sn95 transmission is slightly longer which could place the H or X crossover in a different location. But Im with you, aint no thing to modify.
