 hey whats up, im new to this site..ive been on stlmustangs.com alot and just found this one. so i got a few questions. i have a 95 mustang that is pretty much bone stock right now with 80k miles on it. although i have a few parts waiting to be installed, cai, edelbock performer upper &lower intake, edelbrock 75mm throttle body, hooker equal length shorties, i have a set of 3.73s and a set of4.10s,(havent decided which ones i want to install) and o/r h pipe(but i want to get an x) and flowmaster cat back.
how much of an improvment should i be expecting with these mods...power and 1/4 mile wise?
and eventually i want to run nitrous(which is why i havent made up my mind on the gears?..how much is safe on a stock motor? and what could i expect out of it?

thanks!

Welcome to the Forums..
As far as your mod list, power gains will be minimal, but the gears will be the big improvment as far as drivability and 1/4 mile times.
If you do a lot of highway driving i would install the 3.73 gears, but a lot of in town then 4.10s. I have 4.10s in my car and wouldn't
have it any other way. Save up for some better flowing heads and a decent cam and the fun-to-drive factor on your car will multiply
by a thousand.

All depends on how much highway or city driving you do. Also it will depend on if you plan on going forced induction or not also. Auto or 5 sp? All of these factors play a role in what is a going to be best for you.

Welcome to the site! Sorry, I'm the resident moron of this place! I have no idea what's good to add! Sounds like you have a cool car, though!

Welcome. Howdy. I'm the technical moderator here and we're all happy to answer your questions. We have a 94-95 5.0 specific tech section that you can use going forward for all of your tech questions needs. :eek:ccasion14:

I have literally almost those exact modifications on my '95 GT except my headers are unequal length and I have a catted X-pipe. With 3.73 gears, Nitto DRs, and absolutely no weight reduction and stock suspension I ran 13.99 @ 97 mph.

and eventually i want to run nitrous(which is why i havent made up my mind on the gears?..how much is safe on a stock motor? and what could i expect out of it?

With a nice 150 wet shot (NX, Compucar, etc.) you should be well into the 12s with some practice and sticky tires.

Welcome aboard.

Paul.
