Hey everyone. I'm chris. I've had a few fox bodies in my past and ended up getting rid of them ( which i hate myself for doing). I just recently bought a 1995 GT 5 speed hard top. Car is in pretty decent shape. Its been lowered ( not sure how much but there green springs from somewhere, i never wrote the name down when i had it at my dealership i work at). It has a Motorsport SVO intake and bbk cold air intake, fuel aem fuel pressure regulator. The car orginally had a 78mm turbo on it that the previous owner removed. Long tube headers(still has wide band o2 installed in h pipe also) bassani mufflers dumped. Ill have some pictures tomorrow i can post up here. The car drives pretty nice and runs very well. My only issue ive been looking into is an annoying belt squeal at startup EVERY time. Ive changed the belt and it still does it. Previous owner removed the a/c comp and smog pump. He also removed the factory brackets that hold those parts on there so i have my work cut out for me. One thing i thought was rare about this car is that it came from the factory with no power windows, door locks or cruise control BUT has power mirrors. I Verified on ford oasis ( i work at ford dealer) that it is a mustang gt. Anyways, its a super clean car inside and out and i look forward to hookin up with some people out here from the forum on meets and stuff! ANy questions or comments feel free to leave em! Thanks!

Chris

no power options and crank windows would mean it is a gts which is more rare then the standard gt.

Sounds like a bearing in the pulley is going out.

i wouldnt be worried about that belt, that takes 2 seconds to replace :) and dont worry all cars have the things, when i bought mine my smog pump made a horrible noise, and it also was pretty embrassing, but now after a yr my A/C compressor went out and is making a horrible noise. this stuff just happens

Well thats the thing, i replaced the belt when i got it home and it still squeals like crazy. The previous owner removed the a/c and p/s bracket and put some other one on there and did the same with the alternator and relocated the alt lower. Its got a really short belt on it im not having any car here with no a./c lol. Its a third vehicle so its not too big of deal but yeah.

hmmmm sounds like a pulley.... what i did when my smog pump was making a noise is i took off the belt and made sure it was thT, but with yours squealing there is no needs for that... the hard thing is if it is a pulley, figuring out which one it is

When i get off today im going home to play around with it a little bit. i took the idler and tensioner pulleys off last night and they looked in good shape. i spun the alternator and it sounded normal. water pump and balancer seem ok too.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! I'm guessing my friend Victor sold it to you than. That's his old stang lol. Yah was a turbo set up before. Very clean ride. Amazing condition for how old it is, especially being laser red in this AZ heat! I love those Cobra R's on it. I wanted those for my CW Cobra, he was supposed to give them to me :( . I don't remember a belt squeak on it though, although last time I saw it was about a month ago when we went with some stangs to the pavilions. Nice car man, enjoy it! Sounds really good too.

Let me tell you he's regretting selling it right now!! He just messaged me as I was typing this lol.

do you know what all has been done to the motor?

Yah, he's a douche. Small world though. Dang that really sucks I didn't know it had a belt squeal, hopefully you find what you need. There's an all ford and mustangs junk yard in PHX, lots of 94/95 mustangs there.

And no not really, I've only really seen it once and the guy you bought it from didn't do any of the modifications to it himself. He doesn't know anything about mustangs to tell you the truth. I think it did have heads though as well, and flowmasters. About all I remember. It ran fine though for the whole time I saw it, had no A/C though. He bought it modified, with no turbo (although it did previously have a turbo you can see that by looking under the hood).

How much did you get it for? Because I can tell you exactly how much he got it for about 3 months ago lol.

I didnt actually buy it. I traded him a bronco i had that i didint use anymore that i put alot of work into. I could def tell it had a turbo in its life. Alot of things under the hood had been sort of hacked that i had to fix ( different things like wiring etc) its a little rough under the hood but its coming along. yeah pretty much the whole ac system and heater is gone, well the evap and heater core are there but the connector lines were broken so now i get to remove the dash to replace them. Thats def not fun as i had to do that to both of my foxes also. I really hope i get approved for the collectors insurance because every single emissions piece on that car is gone. Does arizona still do the "one per person lifetime exemption" on a vehicle for emissions?
