New member here, but as far as the squeel on start up, I too had that issue. I found out what it was when it left me walking. It wound up being the bushings in the distributor going bad and the shaft wobbling around. Pull your cap and button and look for brown powder sitting in the bottom of the distributor. Thats your sign the bushing is giving out.

I thought about that, but it doesnt make any noise when the belt is off and i start the car.

miss2slocoupe got it right up to the dollar! lol Nah he got it for $2800, was an investment for him. He does that apparently, I don't really keep in touch with him. Yeah, he tried telling me the it was brand new and as soon as i got in it i new it wasnt. its coming along though, i bought the cobra front headlights that are smoked and gonna put those on soon. Found the front FEAD for the factory belt setup so thats all done.

Haha wow did you call him out on it? That's good to hear, hope to see it at the pavilions sometime soon. And FYI it's mustang night this saturday. A pretty good group of Cobras are riding together there, we actually just did a little cruise to payson. Nice those headlights will complement the paint so well! and the wheels. Good to hear you are getting it together nicely.

When are you cruising out there? Im gonna wash her up tomorrow and would like to cruise out there and meet up with you. I never called him out on anything because i knew i was buying a used car so i didnt care as i like working on it.

ahh sorry man didn't get back on the forums till now. It was yesterday and I arrived there around 7:30. Lots of mustangs. But also some lamborghinis, porches and everything. Very nice mustang crowd though. But the Pavilions is every Saturday from around 5 to 10ish. I usually go around 7. Fun place to meet new mustang people and other car people in general. Lots of nice cars out there. Mustang night is every last Saturday of the month. So the next one is in a month but it's great to go other saturdays also.

Well that's good to hear that you enjoy working on it, great way to look at the positive.

I live in northeast peoria. Where did you move to?

1997gt4.6 - ill have to head out there next time. i spent 6 hours on sunday detailing the and we got pretty intimate at the car wash. I had to apply two coats of wax, one cleaning coat and one polishing coat. It made a HUGE difference in the paint and looks amazing now. I'll be putting the clutch in this weekend at my work.
