OK so I was a dumbass today (more than usual) and i was messing with my timing, cause I think it might have been a skosh off. So I didnt even use a timing light cause I dont have one over here, But I think this is where I really messed up, I tried to adjust but I forgot to take out the Spout. Now its all outta wack, it will run for like 3 seconds, then die. I put it back where it was and it still does this. Help, how can I fix this?

try unplugging the battery for about 15 minutes to get the computer to reset itself.
While it's disconnected tap the brakes a couple of times to make sure the battery is totally discharged.

Heres the latest. I was getting ready to go get a light and then BaM, it came to me. I had painted the gauge needles the week before, and I noticed that I pushed on the temp gauge to hard, so it didnt move freely like it should. So then I thought maybe that happened to the gas needle too? So I prime the pump, put a pin in the check valve, Nothing comes out. So i ran to the gas station next to kragen, picked up a light and 2 gals of gas. First I put the gas in and did like MFE said, line up the marks. Tried to fire it, battery was dead. Hooked it up to some jumpers. SOB started right up.

I ran out of gas, but the gauge was not installed right after I painted the needle a second time.

Man, for the record, don't EVER mess with the distributor without having a light, there is no point to it. the spout only effects timing when you are using a light because it keeps the computer from advancing the timing. If you are out there with a wrench and your hand, what would be the need to disconnect it? Glad you got it figured out.
