So I just got my xenon hid kit in yesterday and installed it in my car, I'll try to make this brief but when I turn the headlights on, one side works fine and the other side flashes while making a loud buzzing noise then shuts off. I switched the bulbs and the one that works fine works okay on the other ballast. Also I looked at my gauge cluster and it shows that my highbeam light is on ( not completely bright but just faint ). Can anyone give me some ideas on trouble shooting or common mods that may have to be done to cancel the dash light? And do you think I have a bad bulb even though I can see the bulb flash when I turn the lights on?

It's not the bulb. Its the wires or harness. You may have put them on backwards. Try swapping the harnesses.

also double check all the connections by pushing/pulling on all of them. But as he said it sounds as though you might have one of the high/low beam hrns's confused.

I got the lights figured out. I think it was a bad ground. Haha but my high beam indicator light is faintly on in my gauge cluster. Is there any mod to turn that off? What should I do?

If your light only works with the high beams it means the connector on the hid harness is swapped in the wrong plug.

How is that possible? I mean isnt there only on way that it can go in? Are you talking about the blue plug that plugs into the factory harness? Im almost 100% sure the harness is correct.

i also had the same problem with my hids working when they wanted too, this is a issue in many cars and what you need is a relay harness, the store or guy you bought the kit from has them so Id get that harness to stop your issues, thats what i did to solve mine..

My DDM ballast did that, went back and exchanged it for a new one. Sticking to silverstars from now on

HID dealers should really know about this problem since its pretty common. You'd think they would do some investigation on it im sure your average person is blowing up their tech support line. haha

I don't think it is the people that sell is as much as the fact that they went with the cheapest supplier they could find.

I found it on a google search in about 5 seconds, lots of info about repinning since it seems the companies go with a 9004 pin layout and just dont care
