Ive been having some issues with my hood popping up and catching on the safety part of the latch. It takes several tries to get the hood to latch and seems a little loose after latching. Is there supposed to be a little play in the hood after latching or should it be tight? Im wondering if the latch needs to be moved or maybe installing the dreadful hood pins might be needed. I just hate the thought of the hood flying up.

Update: I decided to go this route and used the headlight support, or whatever its called, to pin from the underside. Should i stick with just one or put one on the other side as well?

x2 on the hood pins. I hate the damn things but I had too do this myself..

I was driving about 45mph and the hood popped up. Thank goodness the safety latch caught. Then someone tried getting my hood open to rob parts.

After that I bought the ones that use a key. I still run my stock latch but had to adjust it some.

I like them cause they arent as noticeable. Dont buy cheapo ones either.

at one time My hood latch started to act really bad like that. I put a little bit of grease on it and I have not had a problem since.

Boo, im in the same boat as you I dont want them. At this point in time my hood sometimes doesnt latch right away but when I get it, its tight as a mo-fo super tight no play whats so ever. Good luck to you. IMO the mr gasket locking ones look nice but im not sure how well they work. I like this guys though, pretty badass:

Looks pretty trick being hidden up under the hood like that. Just don't forget about them oneday and go jerking on the hood. Nothing like looking like a retard because your forgot you had hood pins
