Is there something broke on my car or is this normal? :dontknow:

Every bump i hit there is no bounce. Lets say your driving your DD and you get a flat and proceed to drive to the safest spot. On the way to the safest spot you hit a pot hole. With the flat tire it hits hard and you know the familiar sound.

Is this normal for a lowered mustang? Every bump i hit makes me think im breaking something. It hits hard.. like metal on metal with no screech.

you need new shocks and struts. Get something aftermarket sized for a foxbody and you'll be good.

Remember, Mustangs aren't luxury cars, they're designed for you to feel the road, and an aftermarket spring kit will just stiffen up the suspension more. Not to mention, the shorter springs will put the shocks and struts under constant load, and they'll have much less travel.

I know before I replaced all my dampers after installing lowering springs, the front end felt like it was gonna fall off.

The Roush suspension is stiff, but, it's bearable. I drove to Bakersfield on Saturday, LA sucked ass but otherwise it was good.

Tokico HP shocks/struts are on here though.

I find my roush alot more comfortable then any other mustang/camaro ive owned. lol. My 98 camaro z28 was the worst, I swear the smallest bump in that thing felt like i hit a curb

your springs are actually a lot different than mine. Stage 2 and 3 had major spring rate differences so that may be why it's different. My car is a bit harsh but that's honestly way I like it though.

In short...like poo. Lowering springs will pretty much make the ride feel like you driving a go-cart. Especially with not-so-great Shocks/Struts.

OP, I've read mixed reviews on those struts/shocks. I plan on getting either the Illumina's or the Koni's SA's, as I dont give a pigs butt how it rides, as long as it handle's well.

On the highway its smooth and nice.. better than my stock 4x4 97 GT.

On the city streets with bumps and re-paved bumps and pot holes.. ITS HELL!! Feels like im breaking shit all the time!

I put Bilstein shocks and struts on mine, although I got ones sized for an sn95. The difference between the Bilsteins over stock after the lowering springs, was like night and day. My only regret is I didn't know the fox shocks/struts fit sn95's when I purchased mine.

question, as this isn't the first time I've heard this. what is the advantage to running fox shocks and struts vs. the sn95 ones?

Twista, you have the Eibach Pro Kit...? I just put that one on my car. If you think the front spring rates are stiff on these you should try the H&R SS! Those are really low and very stiff. I like the Eibach Pro kit. When you lower your car it's going to have stiffer spring rates thus worse ride on rough roads but heaven on smooth roads.

I had a set of H&R SS's on my 96 vert with KYB GR2 shock/struts and it didnt feel good.

Now I have H&R Race springs with OEM Cobra Bilsteins and the ride is mint... No Bounce. Sure its stiffer than stock but unless I bottom the car out on some crazy ass NYC road it is actually very comfortable. Almost like stock in many ways.

IMO, you need to get better shocks, it will feel a lot better after that. It will never be a Cadillac though.
