If you think the noises you hear now are bad, don't evar get a tubular k-member. Dude, my car sounds like it's being destroyed on these so-called "roads" in Louisiana.

I pretty much have the same suspension on my Cobra Coupe and my 01 v6 convertible! my coupe feels 100 million times better than my convertible, keep in mind a convertible will feel differently than a coupe! it has something to do woth 1/3 of the car not being chopped off! my convertible feels the same on pots and bumps at slow speed on the highway it feels great... but if your hearing noises make sure your iso's are intact that may be the noise you are hearing

Bwahaha! I know the feeling man! My car doesn't ride very well at all, H&R Race springs are tight and don't have much give at all, the Bilstein Shocks/Struts do nothing to help. It's a Mustang and it rides like one. 'Bout to get even more stiff with Steeda Sway bars, lowered end links and Cobra A-Arms. Lowered Mustangs for DD = not so much fun, thank god for the truck! LOL

I'm considering putting 03cobra bilstiens, Ford Racing C Springs with a coil cut in the front, C/C plates, a bump steer and a torque arm. Do i need stiffer springs than the ford racing ones? sorry to threadjack, a simple response from any of you more knowledgable than would suffice. good info in this thread, thanks guys.

My k-member has scrapped going up hills and everytime i go in/out of my garage. The freaking k-member is basically on the ground

Im not sure if this car has Isolators. Ill have to ask.

Mine rides stiff as hell but hell what do I expect when its mostly drag suspension in there now. I have not done a lot of driving w/ the Tubular K member and strange 10 way shcoks struts but from the little I have done I can tell its so stiff now but Im willing to have it that way for better times at the track and 90% of the roads i drive on are really well anyway, either main routes or interstate.

you need new shocks and struts. Get something aftermarket sized for a foxbody and you'll be good.

Remember, Mustangs aren't luxury cars, they're designed for you to feel the road, and an aftermarket spring kit will just stiffen up the suspension more. Not to mention, the shorter springs will put the shocks and struts under constant load, and they'll have much less travel.

I know before I replaced all my dampers after installing lowering springs, the front end felt like it was gonna fall off.

Tokico HP shocks/struts are on here though.

I have those and they kind of suck to be honest. I wish I would have spent the extra $$$$ on the Billsteins or Strange 10 ways etc.... next set will be better.

Tokicos are okay if you just want a daily driven shock and strut setup. I love my bilsteins on the roush, they are perfect!

Depends on the road in your area to be honest, I also have the HP's and they work fine for my area. If I lived in an area where the roads were choppy then you have to move higher up in struts/shocks. Tokico D or Bilsteins would make life better.

What springs? maybe i missed it, but didn't see it mentioned. maybe they are cut springs, which can really screw up your ride.

the technical answer is "like a tank"

once you go so low, you can't get away from the harshness.
springs/struts won't make any difference because there's just not much travel left in your suspension. the arms are already facing upwards, closer to the limit of their travel, and the sprung weight is much higher.
that's about as simple as I can explain it.

The SN95 looks muuuuch better slammed, but it doesn't ride that great.

He said he drags when he pulls out (giggidy) of his garage. My question was pertinant due to the fact most driveways run into garages!!

btw I'm still enjoying the swaybar!!! :notworthy:

This is annoying.. i might have to change this setup. It rides smooth on the highway, but as a MAINLY a - to- b street Daily driver (it is) its sucks.
