You can buy seat extenders. $50 plus shipping. They slide your seat back 4inches and raise it 1/2 in -1in. I bought one for the drivers seat and its the best $50 Ive spent on mods. I think Laurel Mnt and Mustangs Unlimited sells them as well as many other places. Just ask for seat extenders.

you can unbolt your seat track from the seat, move it back drill two holes in the front and tap them and bolt it back. there's a thread on here somewhere about it.. moves it back about 2 inches, it's a big difference. i did it in my 94 gt and it's way way way different than my wifes 04. same seats too. anyway search for it on here, costs relatively nothing if you can get the tap and die set to do it with.

you can unbolt the seat from the track, drill new holes about 1" back & reattach.
that was the first mod I ever did (I'm 6' - 6")
more than that and you'd need an extender.

.

that's what I did, the seat extender brackets would raise the seat height, and fuck that I already have trouble when my helmet is on.

I hear that. I wouldn't want to be any higher either.

+1 on the seat height. I can't stand to be up against the top of the car. I feel more in control down lower. I'm 6'5" as well so that has been by far the best free mod i've done too.

I replaced my power tracks with manual ones from a fox (not sure if that makes a difference) I had to drill two holes I think to make everything line up but it is definitely lower. I can measure it for you if you really want to know.

You could always cut the car in half and just put about a 3" extra section to the floor pan and rockers and pillars. But I think these other options work better.
