Get the biggest hammer you have and hit the balljoint stud... err at least that's what I did.

I have two different pickle forks.

A short fat one with wider forks.

And a long skinnier one with thinner forks.

Which one??

I'll try again with some HEAT!!

If you don't have a pickle fork, or it's not working for you (it didn't for me) then you can thread the nut down onto the ball joint, then beat the shit outta that nut with a 3lb sledgehammer. Beware, you'll need a new spindle nut, and don't thread the nut down so far that the hammer comes into contact with ball joint. (unless you don't care about your ball joints)

And that's why I say just beat the snot out of it. Unless of course the O/P means he can't get the balljoint out of the A-Arm...

Well at least your ball joint wasn't like this when the nut came off. I am suprised i was able to drive around.

Or it could be like that after you beat it with a BFH. Close to what the other one looked like after a round of beating.
175K on a set of stock ball joints. Not bad in my opinion.
