I didn't know i had greaseable ball joints (steeda x2's) and i could fix the screeching problem i had.So, one day i brought a grease gun and greased up my lower ball joints and the noise stopped. But the clunking remained. I still drove the car, because everything was tested fine, but the clunking was insanely annoying and worst by the day. Even music couldn't overpower the sound of the clunk.Driving was becoming a pain. My gps would be shaking all over the place.. my radar detector was bouncing on the windshield while @ highway speeds. Now when the clunking noise got louder i could feel it through the floor board and through the gas/brake pedal while driving. Yesterday, while i was driving my garage door opener fell off the visor and i lost the clip. So i stuck the garage door opener in a slot on the convertible top. I notice while driving the G- door opener was vibrating like mad and was making noises along with the clunking noise i usually get. So, i decided to open my vert top and re-shut up.Took her on the highway and on the streets and every problem i ever mention in this thread was gone. EVERY problem! How is it possible for a loose convertible top to make a car sound likes about to fall apart? Plus make the whole car ride bumpy. I know the coupe guys hate how loud a vert mustang is inside and how loose the car feels.  :angry4: All this worrying and money spent because of a loose vert top. The clunking noise is back after i messed with the top again. However, if i hold down the top while i hear the clunking noise... the freaking noise and vibrations through the car goes away 100%. So im positive its the damn top.</blockquote>
