Well my GF bought her '97 GT for $7,000 with 81k miles 3 years ago. Stock 5spd only mods were a C&L MAF, C&L plenum, and a Accufab TB. I bought my '95 GT/Automatic for $4,800 with 27k miles a little under a year ago. Bone stock, only damage was a 1/2 inch scratch on the trunk lid.... but I got it from a little old man and I kind of feel like I stole it. If I was selling your car I would try for $6k and if it didn't work out I would go down to $5,500 or so. I definately wouldn't go less than $5k for it though.
u lucky son of a *****.
He posted it for sale that very same day that I came to look at it. I had been working 7 days/week 12 hours/day so it was pure luck - it was the one day that I had off that month. He said a 17 year old chick came to look at it and was going to come get it the next day. I had the cash from all of the 84 hour weeks that I had been working so I told him if he didn't take me up on it that day I wouldn't have time to come back for it (as if it would still be there!). I drove home in utter dissbelief of what I had just bought and how much I had paid. The tires on it are almost brand new and they are only the second set it has ever had on it. The spare has never been used, although the air had escaped it over the last decade. The netting that goes across the trunk is still in the spare tire whell having never been used, along with some reciepts for 89 cent gas. It had 2.73s.
But I'm not THAT lucky - It's Laser Red. :wall:
All that made me kind of sad. I don't look forward to taking a hole saw to the frame to route a oil drain line. Maybe I'll find a high mile Cobra to put all of these parts on.
