OK guys so I'm thinking of going FI and I have decided with the PI swap that I have done to the car; it's too much compression. I want to keep the cost down so Im not sure I want to spend 2g's on a built bottom end. I still have my old non-pi heads and I'm wondering if it would be worth cleaning them up and porting them and putting them back on. I figure I could probably have them cleaned up for around 700 bucks. And well... That's a long way from 2grand. And if I do all this how much hp can that stock bottom end handle. I've heard a bunch of different opinions 390... 400...420.. I'm not really sure what to believe. NOTE: When and if I port the non-pi heads, my pi intake, stage 1 cams, and long tubes will be going back on. I'm just looking to lower the compression again.

And as far as the supercharger. Well... It would be a polished vortech V-2 with a power pipe and intercooled. Maybe around 9 or 10 psi. Let me know what ya'll think.

450 RWHP is what many say.

I suggest staying around the 400 CRANK HP mark.... personally.

stock bottom ends will hold power, there is really no difference in bottom ends besides piston dish from sn-new edge. i know of several boosted cars making 415-465 and have no issues BUT that said, ive seen some fail with far less power. Some are just built strong, with good castings.
