I was wondering what a stock 4.6 2v motor could hold horsepower wise. I am getting ready to do a PI Swap. I was wanting to run N2O as well.

if i was you i would spend the money on porting the npi instead of going for the pi swap. You will get better numbers for cheaper. http://sn95forums.com/index.php/topic,116.0.html

i would think the PI would give a more "well-rounded" performance. Higher compression will give instant power with options for other modifications. P&P NPIs can only go SO FAR. whereas even *STOCK* PIs can take some power...

The intake and cam swap is good, but ide still go for the entire swap just because the PI heads will merit more power. and you dont have to worry about sealing certain ports on the PI intake when it on the NPI heads.

Nitrous likes higher compression too right?? I have also heard horror stories about nitrous and the plastic pi intake so you have to be careful with that. Thankfully for me... I have a Bullitt intake :headbang:.

zex or venom ? not sure but a wet shot is safer
idk, ive seen plenty of stangs blow the plastic intake to pieces because of gas puddling in the intake. A dry shot is safe up to a 100 shot I think.

Yea I think if I hooked NOS up to my car I would run 100 shot that is prob the most I would go unless I built the motor internal and made it bullet proof.

wet is ideal to fight lean conditions. anything there after you need a tune to pull timing. remember to start small. like a 50 - 70 shot.

after I put this meth kit on my car with the blower cams I am expecting to be in the 460+ rwhp range and thats through a built auto with a 3500 stall and 4.10s which are all robbing power

i really didnt feel like reading all the posts but here is a good queistion.... it will hold alot, but not for very long... find out how much power you want and how long you want to hold it, and adjust from there ...less power... more time....

100 shot is chump change. I rad a nos dry kit for a while untuned with no problems. I have 350whp and that is basicaly a pi swap and a 120 shot and a dyno tune with a few other boltons. I can beat on the car and drive it like a teenager all night and it can take it. If you keep oil in these motors they can handle a lot of abuse. I would not go much above 350whp because of transmission and rear end issues.
