I tried tinting my tail lights and it went well until I applied a clear coat. About 15 minutes after i go back outside to see that it looks like the lenses have "frost" on them. Where did I go wrong. I wet sanded with 600 before VHT then wet sanded with 2000 after it completely dried. I can't load pics from work computer (sorry). Any and all suggestions are much appreciated.

the same thing happened to mine, made me so mad bc the shade was PERFECT! All I did was wetsand them all the way to red again and reapply without clear. The only thing I can think is that the VHT is not completely dry in the short time frame, maybe we had to wait a few hours before clearing?

Good to hear that they are fixable. Funny thing is that I let them dry over night before the clear. Oh well. I hear ya on the shade, though. Needless to say I was pist with the way they came out. I had just installed to sequential light the weekend before and couldn't wait to see it with shade on

Make sure it is not very hot or humid out when you spray the clear or it will do the same thing again. Moisture reeks havoc with rattle can clear.

Thanks for the heads up with the moisture and heat. I'm not too savvy with painting/finishing.... What other clear can be applied?
