Ok well first off i really dont wanna sell my car but im getting to that point that the car is never working right so i just wanna sell it i got a few problems so i was wondering if u all could help me . I just rebuilt the motor on it now its a 306 with a small little cam and since i got it out of the shop 1.my transmission its leaking what gives ? also im having so many 2. voltage probelms i mean ill be at the light and the idle will drop and the voltage also then the car turns off everytime i turn somthing on for example the aircon, HIDs, System the little needle moves and the volatge just gets lower i have to be driving for the voltage to be normal i just replaced the battery and the alternator tested good so u all got any ideas what it might be. 3. The shop disconnected my alarm because they said the car didnt wanna turn on due to the alarm being connected so they disconnected it and i havent had no problems turning on thr car but it wasnt doing that before i took it in they also disconnected the system for the same reason anyone know what it might be i want my alarm and system back :( 4. When i throw the car in drive it kinda of lifts up from the back like its going to launch orsomething and when i put it back in drive it sits back down .5. MY BREAKS SUCK when i stop on my brakes the whole car tilts forward and sometimes teh front brakes lock i even have to sometimes pick up the handbreak i got the car perfect where i messed it up is when i crashed it and all these problems came ive invested at least `10 THOUSAND in the car putting a new motor, Painting it before i crashed it, Repainting and fixing after i crashed it , Rims, New ragtop just lots of stuffim getting tired that the car is never working good i dont wanna selll it i get so much attn. in it plz help me out guys

Take it to a shop who actually knows what they are doing and have you had your motor tuned? Also the voltage loss could possibly be a bad ground. Your trans wasn't leaking before it went into the shop? If a shop has to disconnect your alarm because they can not find what is wrong with the car then they are not a very good shop to say the least. Take the car else where and tell them the problems.

i dont understand either... if its leaking after they unhooked something, take it back and have them look at it. and your bushings may be bad in the upper rear control arms if it jumps up and down... its allowing the rear end to slosh around... i couldnt understand the rest of it

ok i guess some of u all didnt understand 1.my transmission its leaking and it wasnt before i took it to the shop does this have anything do do with rebuilding the engine? 2.i have lots of voltage probelms i mean ill be at the light and the idle will drop and the voltage also then the car turns off everytime i turn somthing on for example the aircon, HIDs, System the little needle moves and the volatge just gets lower i have to be driving for the voltage to be normal i just replaced the battery and the alternator tested good so u all got any ideas what it might be. 3. The shop disconnected my alarm and system because they said the car didnt wanna turn on due to the alarm being connected they said that something was staying on so they disconnected it and i hadent had no problems before i took it to the shop 4. When i throw the car in drive it kinda of lifts up from the back like its going to launch orsomething and when i put it back in drive it sits back down .5. MY BREAKS SUCK when i stop on my brakes the whole car tilts forward i even have to pick up the handbrake sometimes.

The motor is not tuned what does that have to do with anything? (not being a dick) and no it wasnt leaking before i took it the shop

If i was you, i'd take it back where i got the work done, and raise hell... they disconnect your system, they disconnect your alarm, the tranny's leaking, and it has surging problems? i think i would have somebody's ass if that way me.

Sn95 computers do not like cam changes. You NEED to get a tune for it to idle properly.

My thoughts exactly. The lurching when you put it in gear and then sitting back down when you go to neutral sounds like it is idling too fast.

If you took it to the shop to have the engine rebuilt and then your tranny was leaking afterwards it sounds like they messed something up. They have to pull the engine from the tranny in the car. Lots of people just pull the tranny and engine out together. So yes, they could have messed something up. Could be minor or major.

The car diving when you hit the brakes could be wore out shocks and the too fast idle. Could also be bushings in the rear as were already mentioned.

Electrical problem could be bad ground, again as already mentioned, or aggressive under drive pulleys. Who checked your alternator? Did they check it at various RPM's? If it was replaced with the rebuild is it rated at enough amps?

The alarm could have been damaged in the wreck (motion sensor if equipped) and may really be causing problems to justify them disconnecting it. Come to think of it, not knowing the details, the crash could be causing the tranny leaks as well.

In no particular order...

1. Set your idle, and increase idle RPM if necessary
2. Set TPS
3. Bleed your brakes
4. HIDs and a big stereo is quite a draw for a 130 amp alternator. If you have underdrive pulleys, remove them. Also consider a larger alternator.
5. Find the transmission leak, and fix it. It might be as easy as the pan gasket.
6. Don't go to that shop anymore.
7. Learn to do you own work. You'll be much happier in the long run.

Paul.

on your voltage, i agree with 95grandtouring. it sounds like a bad ground. it takes time to hunt down the culprit. let me hunt down a link with schematics of the charging system.

No the crash was like when i got first got the car. After the crash (when i got the car bacK) everything ran good except the brakes, ideling, and the tilting forward when i brake. The alarm was working good and so was the system before i put it in the shop then after i got it out of the shop they said they disconnected both becasue the car didnt wanna turn on there for the crash didnt have anything to do electral wise.
