Total different animal, I'm guessing you own a 4.6?

Im sure its more trouble than its worth....if your gonna do a swap, why not just put that 1700 dollars into your motor?

PI heads, intake, and a set of nice cams will make just as much if not more power than that new 3v would anyway.

Yes I has a 4.6 my t45 is starting to grind gears so I'm in the market for one. I've been kicking around putting a 3650 in my car cuz they hold up better.

Gotcha, you just have a stock 96-98 NPI 4.6?

I would suggest doing a PI heads with a nice set of cams, long tubes, and a pi intake instead of the 07 3v 4.6 to be honest but I guess the transmission would work fine in your car, the motor swap would be way more trouble than its worth IMO.

I'm sure your right. I can't recall anyone doing that swap and the trans will work but I have to get a flywheel, clutch and shifter to make it work.

I think people have done it but a lot of modifying and crap needs to be done..kinda like the new coyote motor swaps...they cost like 20k cause so much shit has to be done to get it to work.

hmm, yea im not familiar...I figured it wouldnt be too hard since they had the 3650 in the 04 gts right?

there was a guy on here that was doing a 3v swap. been forever since i saw any progress on it though. a couple of the major problems were the drive-by wire and the brake system. not to mention the new wiring harness/computer. its just not worth it IMO. now if you got a built 3v then okay but a stock setup? not worth the effort.

If you are still thinking of getting a 3650 try and pick up a 2003 and +, the first couple yrs arnt that great. Bullitts and Cobras were the first to get them and there known to have probs. they ironed out some issues later. I like my T-5 in my cobra way more than the 3650 in my old Bullitt

I love the 3650 in my 02, but as everybody has said. Skip the 07 swap and dump that money into your motor.

You guys are all right like always. I think im gonna try to pick up a used t45 and beef it up myself. I found a place that has a rebuild kit that rates it up to 700 HP way more then ill ever need.
