So i was thinking about buying a slp loudmouth exhaust kit, gears and headers for my 94 auto vert which is my daily driver.

Now my first question is if I buy the exhaust kit do i need to purchase a mid pipe as well?

Question two; If I buy headers do i have to purchase the shorty headers or do i need the long tube headers?

Last question; Would 3.73 gears show a great improvement (for speed) or should i go with the 4.10's?

All help is greatly appreciated.

1. you do not need to purchase a mid pipe as well, but an o/r pipe will greatly improve the sound alone.

2. you would want to buy the shortie headers unless you want to buy a long tube mid pipe as well.

3. i'd go with the 4.10s since you have an auto. auto's need the gear.

those cat back systems will bolt right up to the stock h pipe, but if you run a off-road h or x pipe, you can gain more power and sound

4.10 is the only gear for an auto. I think you would be better off with an o/r xpipe

yah, the offroad pipe will actually give you more of the sound you're wanting than the mufflers. i'd invest in an offroad pipe and a catback, then if you still have some money, headers. but the headers would be last in my opinion.

off road stands for no cats.which is also better sound and power. you can get them with cats

fyi the stock exhaust system is 2 1/4". most of the aftermarket systems will be 2 1/2". they will all bolt together but for max benefit it will need to be 2 1/2 all the way back. off road means it's only legal to use on the race track. if you live in a state which requires emissions testing your car will fail the test. if your lucky enough not to live in one of those statesyou still run the chance of being cited by the po po because you have tampered with the emission system, but they have to lay on the ground to look for it. catted h's are pretty expensive cause your buying the cats and they come for long and short headers. you need to know which way your going so you don't buy the wrong pieces if you go with 4:10s your speedo is going to be way off and you'll need to get a speed cal so your speedo will be right, 3:73s can be adj with a diff gear on the vss. good luck
